As the world gets ready for the 2026 World Cup, K-Culture is slowing down a bit and bringing you fewer new releases this June. However, even though there aren’t many, these releases are sure to put a smile on your face this month.
Here’s everything happening in K-Culture that’s worth watching, listening to, and experiencing in person in June.
K-Dramas to Watch This June
June’s lineup features even fewer drama releases than May, yet promises five fun and unique storylines to keep you hooked for the entire month.
Doctor On The Edge (Disney+, June 1 – Medical, Romance)
This is a story based on the webtoon “Endurance Doctor” that follows Do Ji Ui (Lee Jae Wook), a talented plastic surgeon whose mandatory military service takes him to a remote island village everyone wants to avoid, and Yook Ha Ri (Shin Ye Eun), a nurse with many secrets who moves to the island for personal circumstances.
Teach You A Lesson (Netflix, June 5 – School, Action)
In a fictional setting where students have more authority than teachers, the National Assembly and the Minister of Education decide to take measures and approve an amendment to the Act on the Protection of Teachers’ Rights.
This amendment aims to establish the Educational Rights Protection Agency (ERPA) to enable schools to use psychological pressure and physical force to discipline delinquent students as part of efforts to reform the broken school system.
See You At Work Tomorrow (Prime Video, June 22 – Office, Romantic comedy)
Cha Ji Yu (Park Ji Hyun) is a hardworking office employee dealing with a major slump in both her career and her love life who becomes entangled with her boss, Kang Si U (Seo In Guk), a handsome man who seems to have everything except for a likable personality.
Notes from the Last Row (Netflix, June 26 – Thriller, Psychological, Drama)
This drama is an adaptation of the Spanish play “The Boy in the Last Row” by Juan Mayorga, and it recounts the story of Heo Mun O (Choi Min Sik), an unsuccessful writer and professor of Korean literature who notices the special talent of Lee Gang (Choi Hyun Wook), a reserved young man sitting in the back row of his classroom.
As they grow closer, they will find themselves trapped in a cycle of manipulation, ambition, and turmoil.
Agent Kim Reactivated (Netflix, June 26 – Action, Thriller, Mystery)
Manager Kim is a seemingly ordinary single father who is actually a former spy with countless missions in North Korea under his belt. His existence alone is a ticking time bomb that explodes when his daughter, Min Ji, goes missing.
He will do whatever it takes, even if that means revealing all his secrets.
