K-Dramas To Watch This April
April’s lineup promises to have something for each K-Drama taste, and it’s also expected to be a month with some of the most exciting releases.
Bloodhounds 2 (Netflix, April 3 – Action, Thriller, Crime, Drama)
The sequel follows Kim Gun Woo (Woo Do Hwan), determined as ever to pursue his dream of becoming a boxing champion, and Hong Woo Jin (Lee Sang Yi), who stands by his side as a friend and coach.
Together, they face another tough challenge that will force them to take off their gloves and fight for what’s right, as they stand up against Baek Jung (Rain), the leader of an underground boxing ring who’ll resort to any means for the sake of money.
Perfect Crown (MBC/Disney+, April 10 – Comedy, Romance, Drama)
In a parallel universe’s Korea governed by a constitutional monarchy, Seong Hui Ju (IU), a chaebol heiress who has everything she could ever dream of, except for a royal title, ends up in a contract marriage with Crown Prince Yi An (Byeon Woo Seok), a man often bound by unlimited rules and restrictions.
As they lean on each other, their lives take on a new light, and they begin to realise how alike and at the same time how different they are beyond their titles.
Yumi’s Cells 3 (tvN/Viki, April 13 – Comedy, Romance, Drama)
Yumi (Kim Go Eun) returns this season as a successful romance novelist; however, the thrill of it all quickly fades away as her day-to-day life grows repetitive and monotonous. But all that changes when Sun Rok (Kim Jae Won) walks into her life and gets her cells to work overtime.
Through him, she discovers more about herself and a new kind of love she hasn’t quite figured out yet.
Absolute Value of Romance (Amazon Prime Video, April 17 – Comedy, Romance, Youth)
Yeo Eui Ju (Kim Hyang Gi) is a seemingly ordinary high school student who leads a double life as an online romance novelist with no audience until four new charming teachers arrive at her school, who soon become the inspiration for her characters. Both her writing and her school life start to take on a new shade, with her ending up caught up in a whirlwind of chaos and emotions spiralling out of control.
We Are All Trying Here (JTBC/Netflix, April 18 – Psychological, Life, Drama)
A slice-of-life drama that explores insecurity, jealousy, the heartbreak of unfulfilled dreams, and the draining spiral of constantly comparing oneself to others on a similar journey. Starring Hwang Dong Man (Koo Kyo Hwan), an aspiring director who’s the only one in his circle that hasn’t made his debut, and Byeon Eun A (Go Youn Jung), a producer with intense emotions that are often reflected in her screenplay reviews.
The Scarecrow (ENA, Genie TV/VIU, April 20 – Thriller, Mystery, Crime, Life)
Set between 1988 and 2019, the story revolves around Detective Kang Tae Ju (Park Hae Soo), a man who investigates a series of serial murders, and Cha Si Yeong (Lee Hee Joon), a man he absolutely cannot stand. Despite their mutual hatred, the two form an alliance to uncover the truth behind it all.
Sold Out on You (SBS/Netflix, April 22 – Comedy, Romance)
A cozy opposites-attract romantic comedy following Matthew Lee (Ahn Hyo Seop), a mysterious farmer who runs a one-of-a-kind farm, and Dam Ye Jin (Chae Won Bin), a lead researcher of a natural cosmetics ingredients company who suffers from severe insomnia.
Over time, as their bond grows stronger, they encourage each other to face their personal challenges, heal their emotional wounds, and find love while navigating the ordeals of everyday life.
If Wishes Could Kill (Netflix, April 24 – Horror, Youth, Drama, Supernatural)
A group of five high school friends discovers a strange app called Girigo that claims to grant people’s wishes, but in exchange, it demands that whoever uses it face an inevitable death.
They then find themselves caught up in suspicion, fear, and the incalculable cost of their desires.
Filing For Love (tvN/HBO Max, April 25 – Comedy, Romance, Melodrama)
No Gi Jun (Gong Myung), once the star of the internal audit team, is now forced to deal with trivial workplace dramas, and all because of his manager, Ju In A (Shin Hae Sun).
But the real trouble begins when, after receiving an anonymous report, No Gi Jun (Gong Myung) goes undercover to dig up some compromising information that could help him bring down Ju In A (Shin Hae Sun). However, things get really complicated when he falls for her, and she starts to question whether he might be the one who can finally help her find true happiness.
Gold Land (Disney+, April 29 – Thriller, Mystery, Romance, Crime)
Kim Hui Ju (Park Bo Young) is a security screener at an international airport who unexpectedly stumbles upon some gold bars linked to a smuggling organization.
The greed, betrayals, and chaos gradually become a major part of her life, and she turns into a target for the people around her.

Seonnongdae Ritual Ceremony (선농대제)
This cultural event traces its origins to a traditional royal ritual established during the Silla Dynasty and is celebrated to honor agriculture and wish for a prosperous harvest. The royal procession begins at 9:00 a.m. from the Dongdaemun-gu District Office and proceeds to Seonnongdan Historical Park, where the ceremony is held at 10:30 a.m. Admission to this event is free.

BTS The City Arirang Seoul (서울국제불교박람회)
