Spree River is a tributary of the Havel River and flows through northern Germany.
It originates near the border with the Czech Republic and Poland and joins the Havel River near Lake Tegel in downtown Berlin. Its length is 398 km.
Visitors can also take a 2.25-hour boat cruise along the Spree River to see some of Berlin’s iconic landmarks, including the Government Quarter, Bellevue Palace, Berlin Cathedral, and Museum Island (Museumsinsel).
