Yakcheonsa Temple on Mt. Simhaksan is a place for praying and repentance, and is the majestic and largest wish-fulfillment prayer center in the Paju area in northern Gyeonggi Province, where the Great Buddha of Unification Yaksha Tathagata is enshrined.
Many spiritual organizations, such as a Buddhist university, Ksitigarbha, and a choir, are actively engaged in activities. There is a large parking lot, and there are Simhaksan Mountain, a natural recreation forest, and a spring with good-tasting water.
Simhaksan Mountain, where Yakcheonsa Temple is located, is famous for its trail, and offers a panoramic view of the lower Han River, Unification Observatory, Gimpo, and visitors also can see Kaesong, North Korea from the top of the mountain.
