Institute of Korean Royal Cuisine

About

The Institute of Korean Royal Cuisine was established in 1971 as an institution to inherit the national intangible cultural heritage. It is the main institution for traditional food culture research that has been at the forefront of researching and inheriting Korean food culture represented by royal cuisine even before the general public recognized that food is an important part of traditional culture.Since its establishment during the lifetime of the first holder of the art, Lady Han Hee-soon, the Institute has been doing its best to inherit and develop royal cuisine and Korean food culture traditions by continuously conducting education based on this, holding regular presentations, publishing cookbooks, and researching literature related to royal cuisine.
