Ayajin Beach, located 6km north of Sokcho and about 500m from National Highway 7, is attracting an increasing number of vacationers every year due to its beautiful surrounding scenery. The combination of large and small rocks, clear sea, and clean white sand makes it a suitable summer resort for families. The white sand beach is 600 m long and 50 m wide, and the water depth is 1.5 to 2 m up to 30 m from the beach. A variety of creatures, including coral reefs, clams, and seaweed, live around the seaside rocks, making it an excellent place for snorkeling and scuba diving.
